WHAT IS THE TM PROGRAM?

The Transition Mentor program is an essential part of the first-year experience of all undergraduate students at Victoria College at the University of Toronto.

All incoming first-year students will be put in a mentor group led by a Transition Mentor, an upper-year Vic student, who will help orient them to university life throughout their first year. Mentors will provide new students with opportunities to connect with peers, get engaged with Vic and U of T, and meet their personal and academic goals.

After leading first-year students through Orientation Week, Mentors will:

  • send out weekly emails regarding upcoming events, workshops, important dates, and more!

  • help students find and access various academic, personal, mental health, financial, and extracurricular resources available at Victoria College and U of T.

  • host bi-weekly Success Series programming further connecting students with important resources.

  • participate in monthly excursions focused on community building and development.
