Monday, AUgust 25

  • Where: Old Vic

    Description: Stop by the very first event of Orientation to officially sign in! Here, students can pick up their free Orientation Kit and meet members of the Orientation team. This is a mandatory to participate in the rest of Orientation!

  • Where: Around Vic Campus (Meet in the Quad)

    Description: Now that you've registered, we're excited to introduce you to your Transition Mentors! These upper-year peers work throughout the year to support you with your transition to university. In your groups, you'll learn more about Vic, UofT, and even our famous Orientation cheers.

  • Where: Vic Quad

    Description: Following the Opening Ceremonies, join us for lunch where food is provided for all Victoria students. This will also give students the chance to socialize and meet their peers! You’ll also have the opportunity to learn our dance!

  • Where: Isabel Bader Theatre 

    Description: Students will get to hear more from Dean Kelley Castle and Head of the Registrar Yvette Ali.

  • Where: Vic Quad

    Description: Learn more about what student groups Victoria College has to offer! Representatives from Victoria University Students' Administrative Council (VUSAC) and Vic’s levies will talk to students over a delicious dinner. Incoming students can sign up for newsletters, ask questions, and get free merch. It’s a great opportunity to get involved and find organizations that you’re passionate about!

  • Where: Isabel Bader Theatre

    Description: It's time to crack a laugh as you watch your leaders put on a smashing show! Join us for a night of fun where leaders will perform dramatized university tropes, musical parodies, and more! Come and enjoy the show!

  • Where: Old Vic (Alumni Hall)

    Description: Come join us for a fun, high-energy, casino-style game night! *No real gambling*

  • Where: Goldring Student Center

    Description: Grab your friends and join us for board games, video games and more! (Ned’s Cafe)

Tuesday, August 26

  • Where: Meet in Vic Quad, Around campus

    Description: Ready to broaden your horizons and explore UofT's campus? Join your TM group for a guided campus tour to learn about popular class locations, study spots, and hidden gems around UofT!

  • Where: Old Vic

    Description: Here you will have the chance to learn about the wide range of supports and services available to students, and all the knowledge you'll need to be prepared for your transition to university life! Smooth sailing is guaranteed for all attendees!

  • Where: Vic Quad

    Description: Come meet some professors and have an opportunity to chat with them over lunch in the Quad! Whether you know exactly which program you are interested in, or are still figuring it out, you can enquire about programmes of your interests and meet some of your peers (and potential classmates)!

    Description: Excited to get a peek into academic life at Vic? Have any burning questions for the professors? Come attend Guest Lectures to experience engaging talks from passionate profs, and meet with fellow academics!

    Description: Join us for an action-packed day of sports at Victoria College! Head over to the Margaret Addison Field for exciting games hosted by the Victoria College Athletic Association. Meanwhile, unwind and relax with wellness activities in the Wymilwood Lounge. Don't miss the chance to explore other sports and recreation booths, where you can learn how to get involved in various activities on campus.And for those feeling adventurous, join in on a game of Quidditch for some magical fun!

    Description: It’s time to get energized! Join the leaders as they teach you the orientation dance as we celebrate and create memories to last a lifetime!

  • Where: Vic Quad

    Description: Prepare to get involved on the Vic campus. Grab some food and chat with the representatives of various clubs and student groups at Victoria College. This is your opportunity to find a new hobby, meet like-minded people among current and incoming students, and learn more about student life at Vic!

    Description: Ready to light up the dance floor? Grab your neons, brights and tights, and head over to our 80's Blacklight Dance to dance the night away with friends and a live DJ.

  • Where: The Cat’s Eye

    Description: Looking for a quieter way to spend the night, come join us for a fun and laid-back night of bingo... with a glow-in-the-dark twist! Wear your brightest colours and enjoy a night of good vibes, music, and many prizes to be won!

    Description: Join us as we explore every corner of Victoria College and UofT and compete to be the winning team. Be prepared to be on your A game as we cut corners and find the best routes for our daily campus commute! You'll have loads of fun and never get lost on campus again!

  • Where: The Cat's Eye 

    Description: Do you like getting crafty and making cute gifts for new friends? Come to friendship bracelet making to relax and meet some new friends! 

  • Where: Vic Quad

    Description: Come meet the alumni and have an opportunity to chat with them over lunch in the Quad! Whether you know exactly which program you are interested in, or you are still figuring it out, you can ask all your questions here and meet some of your peers (and potential classmates)!

    Description: We understand that university can be a confusing time and that you may have questions about what happens after orientation. Whether that be ways to get involved, the best libraries to study at, what breath requirements are, or just about anything else, this event is a must-go for you to address those questions.

  • Where: Isabel Bader Theatre (meet in the Quad)

    Description: The Traditional Ceremonies begin with a warm welcome from the Victoria College administrative staff, who will share words of encouragement and positivity with the incoming class. You'll also get the chance to experience Vic’s rich history and time-honoured traditions — including receiving your welcome card and the iconic silver “Vic” pin. Join us at the Isabel Bader Theatre as the future meets the past in one of Orientation’s most cherished and long-standing ceremonies!

    Description: Grab dinner with the don teams, and learn more about our residence and commuter student supports!

  • Where: MAH Parking Lot

    Description: Indulge in a variety of delicious flavors, add your favorite toppings, and enjoy a sweet treat while mingling with friends and colleagues. It’s the perfect way to cool down and have some fun!

    Description: Step into the spotlight and share your talent at our Open Mic Night! Whether you're a singer, poet, comedian, or storyteller, this is your chance to shine. Join us for an evening of diverse performances and support your fellow performers in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Thursday, august 28

  • Where: Vic Quad

    Description: Start your morning off with an exciting outdoor pep rally! Gather up with your friends and get excited or just enjoy some good food with great company.

  • Where: Varsity Field

    Description: V-I-C-T-O-R-I-A!! Come show off your school spirit and participate in the annual orientation cheer-off alongside all the other colleges at UofT! You’ll have the opportunity to attend the club’s fair and learn about how to join all the amazing clubs and student groups on campus!

  • Where: Vic Quad

    Description: Join us at the Vic Quad after the clubs carnival for an exciting outdoor festival! We’ll have giant inflatables, carnival games, and dinner served on the quad — not to mention an ice cream truck in the MAH parking lot!

  • Where: Vic Quad

    Description: All the while the lawn party continues, dinner is served and activities continue!

  • Where: Cat’s Eye

    Description: Unwind after the first two days of orientation with a fun night of karaoke! Join us at the Cat’s Eye and showcase your musical talents by performing your favorite song on stage, or simply come to hang out and cheer on your friends. End your Friday on a high note before the first full week begins!

  • Where: Wymilwood Lounge Trivia Night; Ghost tours meet in GSC atrium, Around Vic

    Description: Looking for a quieter way to spend the night, come join us for trivia night to socialize with peers while showing off your trivia skills! An added bonus to experience the spooky side of campus and embark on eerie ghost tours.

Friday, august 29

    Description: Join your TM’s for fun morning activities!

    Description: Join us for our new Transitional Seminars with streams catered to your unique experiences as commuters, international students, and anyone interested in general student wellness!

    Description: Get to know the Wellness Interns and the different resources we have here at Vic! Come and learn about safe spaces at Vic over lunch and fun activities with each group!

  • Event #1: Puppy Therapy (Wymilwood Lounge)

    Event #3: Tote Bag Painting (GSC Atrium/Vic Quad)

    Description: Take a break and join us for a relaxing afternoon of puppies, yoga, and tote bag painting! Choose your own path to tranquility and recharge after a busy week!

    Description: Join us for a collaborative dance at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) with St. Michaels and Trinity College! Meet new friends from other colleges, explore one of Toronto's best museums, and participate in fun activities!

  • Where: Cat’s Eye/Vic Quad

    Description: Grab some popcorn, choose a movie from our selection and get ready to unwind with your fellow first years! You might even be able to spot a UofT reference here and there on-screen!
