HOW TO GET READY FOR ORIENTATION:
WHAT DOES “vintage vic” MEAN?
Vintage Vic is our theme for Orientation 2024! Why? Because it signifies both a connection to the past—honouring the history and legacy of the college—while also celebrating the present and looking towards the future! While your journey continues onward, appreciating your past and using it to propel you forward is the core of what we hope to bring at orientation this year! We hope to provide you with all the tools you need to take your next steps successfully! We may call it “vintage”, but remember you’re as fresh as the future and we can’t wait for you to be a part of Vic’s evergrowing storybook!

Orientation is your very first opportunity to explore and engage in Vic’s vibrant community! Orientation Week is the main Orientation for all incoming Vic students, including those commuting and living on residence. The week is filled with fun social events and informational sessions to help you get adjusted to university life within your new home at Victoria College.
Residence Orientation occurs on the Sunday before the start of the fall semester. It is designed to give first-year residence students the opportunity to adjust to campus living, interact with floormates, and meet their Dons. It gives the Residence Dons a chance to share important information and give “insider tips” on making the most of university life. Res-O is mandatory for all incoming students planning to live in residence.
Commuter Orientation takes place 3 weeks before Res-O and O-Week and is an additional weekend of scheduled events for commuters. It serves as a first contact opportunity to make friends and get acquainted with university.
International Student Orientation occurs the week before Orientation Week and allows international students to discover Victoria College, the University of Toronto, and the city of Toronto before the start of school! It also serves as an opportunity to meet the International Mentor Team!
