Vic Mentors Present: HALLOWEEN

It’s spooky season, so join the Transition Mentors and International Mentors on Wed Oct 30 in The Cat's Eye for a full day of Halloween events!

Time: 10 AM - 2 PM: Pancake Brunch and Halloween-themed Games with the Transition Mentors. 5 PM - 9 PM: Halloween Movie Marathon with the International Mentors

Trip to Graffiti Alley!

The International mentors invite you to take advantage of the long weekend to explore Toronto! Join us on a trip to Graffiti Alley in Toronto’s Queen West neighbourhood. We will meet in front of the Goldring Student Centre on Sunday, October 13th at 1pm and then walk over. It will be a fun opportunity to take photos, explore the neighbourhood and also stop by for snacks along the way. We hope to see you there!

foosball Tournament & Friends Screening!

The Victoria College International Mentors hope to see you in the Cat’s Eye on Wednesdays, October 9th 7-9pm for a Foosball Tournament & to watch Friends reruns. Feel free to bring along a friend! Come and chat with other International students and take a break from studying. Snacks will be provided!

Working in Canada

Are you an international student who would like to work in Canada? If so, join us to learn about the eligibility criteria for all types of work permits and authorizations.

Post Graduation Work Permit Information

Are you interested in staying in Canada and working after graduation? You may be eligible for a work permit valid for up to three years. Join us to learn about the post-graduation work permit.

Permanent Residency

Are you an international student interested in staying in Canada permanently after graduation? Join us to learn about the different permanent residency programs.

Staff members from Immigration Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will be on campus to give an information session about the Express Entry Program. The IRCC's presentation will cover:

The Express Entry system

  • The different PR programs under Express Entry

  • The eligibility criteria for each program

  • Skilled Workers vs Canadian Experience Class – what is the difference?

  • The PR application process

  • The ranking system

  • The processing time

English Language Learning (ELL) Communication Café Fall 2019

FREE***No registration***Light snacks provided. Students from all University of Toronto colleges are welcome to attend any session. New students may join at any time.
